Local means local.

Sift has no analytics, advertising SDK, or cloud account. It does not sell or share personal data.

What leaves your Mac

Update checks. Sift contacts kevintang.xyz through Sparkle to check for signed releases.
License verification. When you activate a key, Sift sends that key and Sift's product identifier to Gumroad. Gumroad returns the purchase status.
Your configured AI endpoint. Plain-language requests go only to the OpenAI-compatible endpoint shown in Settings. The default is Ollama on your own Mac. File paths are not copied into the model prompt; commands receive selected paths locally as positional arguments.
Optional local logs. If you enable command logging, prompts, paths, model replies, and outcomes are stored only in Application Support on your Mac. Settings can reveal or erase them.
Support email. Information you voluntarily email is used only to answer your request.
