Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

The short version: Scroll Elevator has no network access. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing about you anywhere. There is no analytics, no account, and no tracking.

What the app collects

Nothing. Scroll Elevator does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. It does not connect to the internet at all — there are no servers, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.

About the Accessibility permission

macOS asks you to grant Scroll Elevator Accessibility access. The app uses this for exactly one purpose: to read scroll events and to set the scroll position (or send a jump keystroke) for the window under your cursor, so it can move that app to the top or bottom. This processing happens entirely on your Mac, in the moment, and is never recorded or sent anywhere. The permission is not used to read your screen contents, log keystrokes, or capture any of your data.

Settings & preferences

Your preferences (button distance, scroll threshold, per-app rules, etc.) are stored locally on your Mac via the standard macOS preferences system. They never leave your device.

Purchases

Scroll Elevator is sold through Gumroad. When you buy it, your payment and contact details are handled by Gumroad under their own privacy policy — the app itself never sees or receives them. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy for details.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
