DTMF Dialer Tool Terms of Service

Short Version

DTMF Dialer Tool generates audible touch-tone signals on your iPhone. It does not place phone calls or guarantee that any phone tree, radio, test bench, or tone-controlled system will recognize them. The free version contains ads; DTMF Dialer Pro is a one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks additional tools. By using the app, you agree to the terms below.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DTMF Dialer Tool ("the app", "we", "us"), developed by Kevin Tang. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Your use is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); where these Terms conflict with Apple's EULA regarding the app license, Apple's EULA controls.

2. What DTMF Dialer Tool Does

The app generates standard dual-tone multi-frequency signals from a dialpad and saved sequences. It can replay favorites, insert pauses, and provide Pro timing, export, and A–D tone features. It produces tones through your device's audio output; it does not place calls, access contacts or call history, or inject tones directly into the iPhone Phone app's call audio.

3. Appropriate and Lawful Use

  • Use the app only with systems, equipment, and accounts you are authorized to control or test.
  • Do not use tones to bypass access controls, interfere with communications, commit fraud, or violate any law or third-party right.
  • Do not save passwords, PINs, payment details, or other sensitive secrets as favorites.
  • You are responsible for any sequence you play, save, export, or share.

4. Compatibility and Reliability

Recognition depends on speaker volume, microphone placement, noise, compression, device hardware, tone timing, and the receiving system. Some systems reject speaker-played tones or require different timing. We do not guarantee compatibility, successful signaling, or any particular result. Do not rely on the app for emergency communications, safety-critical control, authentication, or any use where a missed or incorrect tone could cause harm.

5. DTMF Dialer Pro

  • DTMF Dialer Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase currently priced at $4.99 USD; pricing may vary by country and may change over time.
  • Pro removes ads and unlocks A–D tones, custom tone and pause timing, and favorites export. It is not a subscription.
  • Apple processes purchases and handles refund requests through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
  • You can restore an eligible purchase while signed into the Apple Account that bought it.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The free version uses Google AdMob for banner ads, and purchases use Apple StoreKit. These services may change, fail, or become unavailable and are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, content, or conduct.

7. Exports

Pro can create a CSV containing your saved favorite names and sequences. You control where that file is shared. Once you send it to another app, person, or service, that recipient's terms and privacy practices apply. Review exports before sharing them.

8. Acceptable Use of the Software

You agree not to interfere with the app or connected services; circumvent purchase restrictions; resell or redistribute the app; or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except where applicable law expressly permits it.

9. Intellectual Property

DTMF Dialer Tool's software, design, branding, and original content are owned by Kevin Tang and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app. Your saved sequences remain yours.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that tones will be recognized by any device or service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kevin Tang shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from a failed, delayed, incorrect, or unauthorized tone sequence. Total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where superseded by Apple's EULA or mandatory consumer-protection laws in your place of residence.
