Journey
Indie Developer
I'm an indie developer building iOS and Mac apps. What started as side projects has grown into a catalog of 25+ apps on the App Store. Some are niche utilities, some are financial tools—all came from scratching my own itch.
One of my favorites is ControllerKeys, which lets you control your Mac with an Xbox or PS5 controller. Perfect for vibe coding from the couch.
Zoom
I joined Zoom as a Software Engineer working on Whiteboard and Annotation. I built cross-platform native features in C++ that shipped to hundreds of millions of daily users. It was a wild time to be at Zoom—the product became synonymous with video calling almost overnight.
Microsoft
My first job out of college was at Microsoft on the Azure Batch team. I worked on infrastructure that could scale to 100k+ VMs for high-performance computing workloads. Big cloud stuff.
Capital One
Capital One was my first remote internship—on the Card Digital Technology team during COVID 2020. I built a serverless Slack chatbot on AWS Lambda + DynamoDB that talked to GitHub's GraphQL API. My first real taste of agent-shaped systems.
Cadence Design Systems
My first internship was at Cadence in Pittsburgh, on the Custom IC & PCB R&D team. I wrote C++ for the Virtuoso chip-design tools and spent the summer letting genetic algorithms evolve better chip layouts—they came out about 10% tighter than the manual baseline.
Multidisciplinary Design Program
Two years in Michigan's Multidisciplinary Design Program—year-long engineering capstones with industry sponsors. With Radiant Solutions I wrote the onboard software for an autonomous search-and-rescue hexacopter, fusing RF beacons with computer vision. With General Motors I led the software side of a generative heat-sink design project—genetic algorithms paired with ANSYS thermal simulations—and picked up the MDP Summer Research Fellowship along the way.
University of Michigan
I studied Computer Science at the University of Michigan College of Engineering with a minor in Business from Ross. Graduated summa cum laude in December 2020 with a 3.8 GPA. Go Blue.
Outside the classroom I served as Operations Officer for HKN Beta Epsilon, the EECS honors society, and was a fellow in the Ross Leaders Academy, the Sanger Leadership Center's year-long leadership cohort. For a FinTech class at Ross I consulted for ShieldPay—a London-based escrow-payments startup out of Techstars Barclays London—on their US market expansion.
