How the Physics Work
BaySpeed runs a Newtonian trajectory simulation with quadratic drag, Magnus lift, and spin decay, then binary-searches for the ball speed that produces your measured Topgolf yardage given the bay floor height. The drag coefficient is speed-dependent and calibrated against Toptracer ground truth. Speeds are estimates (±10–15%) — not the same as a launch monitor, but a hell of a lot more interesting than just yardage.
Privacy
- Your credentials go directly to Topgolf's servers — BaySpeed never sees your password
- Game data is cached locally on your device
- No ads, no third-party tracking, no analytics SDKs
- Auth tokens are stored in iOS Keychain, not plaintext
